Lyrical Honey To Our Ears

While trying to come up with something to post today, we received a notice that our favourite band, British folk band, Mumford & Sons, had just posted a new video on their YouTube channel. Hurriedly we clicked over to behold their newest song/video, part of the the to-be-released CD 'Babel', coming out September 24, 2012. And here we present it to you.

Though nowhere NEAR as captivating as The Cave, or Dustbowl Dance, both from their first CD 'Sign No More', songs that literally comforted us in times of sheer desperation and personal struggle, I Will Wait is nonetheless lyrical honey to our ears. Lead singer-songwriter to Mumford & Sons, Ben Lovett, has a smooth inviting, yet rough and folksy voice, that when mixed with compelling and emotional lyrics paints a picture that can transfix and sooth a soul.

Check out their new song I Will Wait.

Dear Everybody...

We just need some alone time.

As alone as we can get, anyway.

We're fine, we just need to remove some distractions, try to find some focus...breathe.

A Friday Post of Stuff

This is a random Friday post, with some AudioBoo and some music, and some archives...and who knows what else...that's probably it, actually.

First: What's AudioBoo? We wrote about that last week, you can read about it here, on our blog: AudioBoo. Who Will You Boo?

So, a group of guys, and us, from Twitter have taken to doing #FF AudioBoo Throwdowns, where we pick on persons tweets from their Favstar (a website that shows you who likes what you say, and also stores your top tweets for you), and we all read them in whichever way we choose (so far ours are the most uncreative reads).
The prize for the favourite?
A Favstar trophy (a bonus feature of Favstar that people have the option to purchase)

It's just some fun to take part in/create with social media friends.

This week was a reading of our good buddy, @ConfusedLush ...(last week was a reading of ours) we're still waiting on an entry from @C_J_Commode (taking his sweet ass time...), who we read the week before last, whose link can be found in the post mentioned above (AudioBoo. Who Will You Boo?) - we'll be back later to add his entry.

So...here as some AudioBoo Throwdown entries!

#FF @ConfusedLush Best Of Tweets Audio Throw Down (mp3)
That's right...this one is us...feel free to listen to the re-do of the last tweet we read (because we cocked it up) on our AudioBoo page, here: http://audioboo.fm/boos/581050-fixed-the-last-fucking-tweet-audioboo-throwdown-confusedlush

For your musical listening enjoyment, from their new album...
For more from this band:

They have so many great tunes...for example 'The Cave' (http://youtu.be/3KkUeRPjc-Y) and Dustbowl Dance (http://youtu.be/QaxrANJnU2E) [those are YouTube links]

More to read....stuff about sex, mental health, life, art (we paint), poetry (we write that too) and food (we're trained cooks, some of us)...and more!

To A Human, If Indeed That's What You Are

You watch yourself, you're making yourself a villain.
I'm talking to you, not you.
I'm sure your "soul" will be revived; check south of the equator, I am sure you'll find it there. Alive and kicking, right near where I'd like to kick you.
-------------------------------
Things that people who claimed to loved her (TOG) have recently said/texted to me...enjoy...
And welcome to just a bit of my life.
"Frank, my knowing what TOG went through isn't going to help bring her back. You've made it very clear that you`re not going to let her come back anyway. It`s also not going to make you make any smart decisions about your life, and it certainly isn't going to make you a decent, or even a nicer, human being. So there goes my friend. Good luck to you. If you so chose, you can tell her that I`m sorry and that if she ever comes back, I`ll be happy to hear from her. I don`t need to hear from Frank anymore. I recognise that you only exist because of what TOG gone through, but I really don`t care. You`re mean...to everyone. I guarantee things with FNA aren't going to work out and if you don`t change, you`re going to be alone forever, because you go out of your way to kill the soul of everyone who comes near you. Starting with TOG"

You can imagine my evening. We sat with this all night... the words echoing through our, apparent, empty soul.
Cruel to post this, maybe, or cruel to say it; you tell me. Now, deal with your precious bruised ego, but don't destroy the small shred of a soul that every person I have ever met has left me with .
Grind me into the ground further; clearly I don't torture myself enough.
Thanks for the help, thanks for validating all my own fears.

A Frank Music Dedication

More crappy Frank music as a quick early morning dedication... since I don't have time to write like I wanted to this morning.

Frank has got work to do, she has try to keep herself un-spazzed today, (it's actually very difficult) so people don't think she's running around "like" a crazy person.  I thought I did that yesterday; apparently I was wrong. #fail

Franks been spending too much time on Twitter, she just wants to stick #hashtage everywhere!

Come back tonight, we've cleared our schedule, and if we remember the laptop cord, Frank and I will be settling in for a night of writing; maybe some of it will appear here.

Here you go. A song - with lyrics...because I know you won't click play.

Lyrics:
The Cave

Mumford and Sons

It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears
And all the faults you've left behind

The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same
I know the shame in your defeat

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth
Which will refresh my broken mind

So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults
And despite my growing fears

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence
When you know the maker's hand

So make your siren's call
And sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say

Cause I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be

And I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again
