Deadly Catch: A Painting

Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! We'll be writing more on that subject this month, but for today we wanted to post our new art therapy project - a painting.

We finally completed a paiting we've been working on for about a month now. Trying to work and "enjoy" a little life can really cut into art therapy.

There's not much to say about this new painting other than we're not super happy with it, it is what it is. That is nothing new, generally we're not happy with most of the things we create whether it be food, art or anything else. Though we tend to be pretty proud of most of the writing we do here on this blog. If you want to see what that's like there are some archive posts with drunk rambling attached from the last couple days - and a confession of who Fuck Face is, and that he's been written about all along, we just gave him a couple identities. That was yesterdays post.

We created a little slide show of progress. The final picture is what it looks like when light hits it, there are some spots we've touched up - mainly the bottom front of the fish mouth. We'd take another picture but it's hard to get the light to hit it with the camera just right - and we need a new camera because we lost the newest one we bought - probably TNB has it. We'll never get it back from her, we'd rather wait a couple more months and get a better camera.

We've gotten into using metallics lately. It's pretty fun stuff to work with.

Anyway. Here you have our newest painting.
