We drink too much...
We are full of anger and distrust....
We end up hurting people...
We can never agree on anything...or anybody...
It's so much more...
We can't find happiness...It's never never anywhere, especially not at the bottom of a bottle, no matter how hard we look for it...it's not anywhere...It's not in religion, it's not in food, it's not alcohol, it's not in working out and being fit, it's not in an attempt to be a responsible grownup...It's not in money...It's not in anything we can find, it's not in other people, it's not in us...
Yet we push on...
Looking...
Hoping by the time we reach our death, that we will lay there...
And we will have finally found it...
Or at least believe that we have.
Late night posts we hope has gone by unnoticed....full of raw honesty and tears...if you could see what we can taste on our lips and running down our cheeks...
We wish it was poetry...
Frank shouldn't drink with us and leave us alone without her strength...not without one of the others...

I know it can seem like the entire universe hates you sometimes but it's not true; you certainly don't deserve to be hated. I certainly don't hate you, in fact... well, you know how I feel about you (all).
ReplyDeleteYou can be happy and you will be happy. I know you find it hard to believe everything I say but I know you believe some if not most of it. This is one of those things you can believe.
I'm sorry I wasn't about (asleep) when you needed someone (accepting that you may not have let me in at that time).
